Dear Church Family,
As we say every Sunday, Harbor Church’s mission is to be a family of God to glorify Him in all things by preaching the Gospel, equipping His saints, and engaging our community and the world with the love of Christ. That is our mission, outlined by Scripture, and we will do everything in our power to continue that mission, regardless of persecution, opposition or crisis. We will work diligently to keep people connected to Christ and connected to one another. However, we, the session, recognize that the current health situation has forced us to take some steps to ensure that we serve the flock that has been entrusted to us (1Pt 5:2) is well cared for and that we love our neighbors as ourselves.  Our congregation has a number of people or have family members who are in the most vulnerable categories (70+, immuno-compromised, have lung issues, etc) who can face disastrous consequences if exposed, not to mention our exposure puts others in our community at risk. Therefore, until further notice, the session is making the following changes:

1. We are recommending only essential personnel (with or without family) to attend the Sunday morning service at Harbor. We will continue to Facebook live the service. However, we will not be locking the doors, so we will not be turning anyone away who wants to come, but we do urge wisdom and prudence.

2. We have purchased a Zoom account to facilitate phone and video conferencing for weekly meetings, including plans to have a video conference for the Women’s Bible Study, a Wednesday night prayer/sing meeting, and others.

3. We will also be recruiting a team of tech-savvy individuals to help those who need to help to get set up and navigating Zoom.

4. We will be communicating opportunities in the future for you to connect with your fellow church members, support one another, share needs like grocery shopping or other practical help.

5. For now, we recommend sending tithes, offerings, or giving for those in need (Deacons fund) by MAIL for now. Be sure to send to the PO Box. (Harbor Church, PO BOX 4025, Mooresville NC, 28117)

It truly pains us that we have to take some steps that further isolate everyone, but we know that God works everything for good for those who love Him. We truly believe God will use this time to strengthen us as a church, as a witness to the world, and as individual Christians. Please pray for wisdom in all of this as we know you will!
In Him,
The Session of Harbor Church
